The Energy Professionals Association (TEPA) Announces 2021-2022 Award Recipients
HOUSTON – November 18, 2021 – The Energy Professionals Association (TEPA) today announced the organization’s 2021-2022 TEPA award recipients. Since 2014, TEPA has recognized outstanding member companies through membership votes on Supplier of the Year, ABC of the Year and Affiliate of the Year. The awards, which are presented annually during the national conference, have become a coveted honor among retail energy businesses that meet TEPA’s standards of ethics, education and advocacy in the market.
The TEPA ABC of the Year recognizes the most promising and innovative TEPA ABC company in areas such as contract negotiations, ethical business practices and customer service. The 2021-2022 TEPA ABC of the Year winner was awarded to Mantis Innovation. The TEPA ABC of the Year finalists included Enerconnex, Mantis Innovation and Priority Power Management.
The TEPA Supplier of the Year award recognizes the TEPA member company with the most comprehensive, innovative and strategic vision for competitive retail electricity and natural gas markets. It takes into consideration the company’s customer service reputation among its customers and employees. The 2021-2022 TEPA Supplier of the Year was awarded to two companies, Freepoint Energy Solutions and Shell Energy. This year’s TEPA Supplier of the Year finalists included NRG, Constellation, Freepoint Energy Solutions and Shell Energy.
The TEPA Affiliate of the Year award recognizes companies that provide products and services that improve energy procurements processes and support competitive energy markets. The 2021-2022 TEPA Affiliate of the Year is Amperon. Finalists in this category included ERCG, Amperon and Enerex.

I’m grateful to be able to recognize year’s award recipients who have shown incredible resiliency and leadership this year.”

- Amperon builds accurate, dynamic forecasting models with smart meter data combined with deep expertise in power markets, data science, and meteorology.
